Ripple Effect: Exercise Ball & Magic Circle (October 10, 2026)
53m
This week I’ve been exploring the bones of the skull and how they translate through the rest of the body. So we start at the other end, with the feet. Small shifts of weight to the edges, the balls, the heels. Then we notice how each one travels all the way up, even into the jaw. Nothing moves in isolation.
From there we open the channels with shaking, the lung and water elements, and teacups. Then we build a two-way circulation through the central channel, rising like a fountain and coming back down like rain. Then we bring our hands to the skull: gentle pressures, slides, and holds that connect the skull to the organs and the sacrum. It’s subtle work, and it’s often where you feel the most change.
Stacking your containers for optimal posture. Keep the ribcage over the pelvis so the organs stay supported instead of tipping forward.
A daily practice worth having. A few minutes of central-channel circulation each day can shift how your nervous system responds and how your body feels.
Subtle touch, whole-body effect. Light pressure on the skull can show up in your sacrum, your low back, or your breath.
Playful strength. Exercise ball and magic circle work brings in core, glutes, hamstrings, back extension, and a full-body stretch over the ball.
Expect about 50 minutes of qigong, gentle craniosacral connection, and Pilates with an exercise ball. A magic circle is optional.
