We start by finding a tripod — the bubbling spring points at the soles of the feet and the tip of the tailbone — and settle into the idea that the more anchored that base feels, the lighter the spine becomes. From there we clear: a vacuum-like scan through the body to release anything held, physical or otherwise, followed by gathering fresh energy back in. The qigong practice focuses deeply on shoulder and upper back opening with spinal waves, and spinning teacups, with real attention to letting the joints reorganize through breath rather than force. The floor work integrates everything — pelvic curls, organ massage in the abdominal series, swan, swimming, and a full side-lying sequence, finishing standing in that same grounded place we started.
Grounding through the feet and tailbone does real work: the more anchored the base, the less effort the spine has to spend holding itself up
Letting a joint reorganize through breath rather than forcing a stretch often releases tension that direct stretching can't reach — this class gives you several chances to feel that difference
The abdominal series is framed as organ massage throughout — each movement is doing something for the kidneys, liver, and spleen, not just the abs
This one moves at a slower, more exploratory pace than some of the others — good for a day when you want depth over intensity

Foam Roller — Shoulders, Spine & Full...
We start standing with a shoulder and spine warm-up, then spend real time on a subscapularis release — the internal rotator that lives between your shoulder blade and rib cage, and is often the hidden source of shoulder restriction. Once that's open, everything else in the class benefits from it....
