We open by listening- outside first, then inward - and spend the whole class building what I think of as your container: the infrastructure in your meridians, tissues, and energy centers that lets you actually hold and use whatever you bring in. We move through standing qigong including knock on the door of life, separating heaven and earth, and spinning teacups, then come to the floor for Da Vinci spirals, pelvic curls, and a full Pilates mat sequence with the 100, roll-ups, rollover, teaser, swan, sidekick, snake, and scorpion push-ups. Low back and kidneys are the thread running through the whole thing.
The Da Vinci spirals are one of my favorites for backs and hips — when you slow down at the sticky spots instead of pushing through, this is where real change happens in the tissue
The kidney focus throughout isn't just energetic — the kidneys in Chinese medicine govern our deep reserves, stress response, and innate immune system, so we keep coming back to them
